Life: It Is What It Is, and Common Sense Should Be In There Somewhere

So I write about and sell quality tools.

But I make no claims to being an expert at home repair. In fact, I have been known to ask for help when learning about a new repair process.

I also ask for help when I am using a tool that is new to me.

If I don't know how to use it, I ask. I suggest you do the same. Common sense, right?

I can't be responsible for telling someone in another state which end of the hammer is the working end, and I won't be there to tell you to do it this way or another way in order to prevent you doing harm to yourself.

Life Can Be Hard, Things Aren't Always Smooth and Easy

Here is a short list of Basics About Tools Life - (the real list has no end):

  • Razor knifes have sharp edges.
  • Hammers are hard.
  • Screwdrivers have a pointy end.
  • Glue is sticky
  • Paint can be messy
  • Drills have a fast-moving spin-y part.
  • Garden tools get dirty
  • Jumper cables and batteries make sparks

Nothing on the list above is necessarily good nor bad - it just is.

It is up to you to make sure it works for you and not against you.

Enjoy your high-quality tools. Take good care of them, clean them and put them away when you are finished with them. Appreciate them, and every time you use them, respect them. Be thoughtful and use care with every task. Find good people or videos to help you learn how to use them properly and safely.

Because I can't teach these things to you, it is up to you to learn before doing.

In other words, if you hit your thumb with your hammer, it's not my fault.
